Chasing the Invisible:
She knew the way of the bear.
The way of the wolf.

Book Teaser 2

Now Beejay knew the way of lymphoma and how to escape its jaws. But why must she continue to seek treatment after the last cancer cell disappeared?

It was difficult for Beejay to chase the Invisible.

Imagine traveling 60 miles through a whiteout by snowmobile in the dead of winter at -60°F to the airport in Nome, to fly 600 miles to Anchorage for treatment. Getting there, getting treated and getting back would be an arduous, risky one-week process. Furthermore, BJ – already weak – could not go alone; Tom needed to be her snowmobile driver and travel minder. When they left the village, who would care for their children, their dogs and their reindeer herd?
